Wenger, “I’m proud of Cesc”

Arsene Wenger last night praised his captain for the professional behaviour he displayed during the Barcelona transfer rumour, despite from the tedious calls from Barcelona players and the unfortunate drunk incident with the Barca shirt.
Wenger said, “Cesc has been very good, despite all of that story, his love for the club was never under threat,”
“You could understand he was torn between Barcelona and staying here, but he really deeply loves the club. His attitude has been completely spot-on.”
Wenger also added “I tried very hard to show him how much I want him to stay and of course you never completely know the outcome, but my resolution and determination was always very strong to keep him – and it was never a question of money.”

Cesc is staying at Arsenal!

After months of transfer speculation ,Cesc Fabregas released an official statement yesterday on Arsenal’s website, committing himself to the club:

“Firstly I would like to apologise to all the Arsenal fans for not speaking sooner about my future but I have not known what I was going to do until this moment.

“I cannot deny that joining a club like Barcelona was not an attractive move for me. This was the club where I learnt my football, it is my home town where my friends and family are and a club where I have always dreamed of playing. There are not many players in this world who would not want to play for Barcelona.

“I have had many conversations with Arsène Wenger both in person and over the phone over the last few months and although the content of those conversations will remain private, the conclusion is that Barcelona have had two formal offers rejected by Arsenal.

“I am a professional and I fully understand that it is Arsenal’s prerogative not to sell me.

“I owe a lot to the Club, manager and the fans and I will respect their decision and will now concentrate on the new season ahead with Arsenal.

“I can assure all the fans that now the negotiations have ended I will be 100 percent focused on playing for Arsenal.

“I am an Arsenal player and as soon as I step out on to the pitch, that is the only club I will be thinking about.

“I am looking forward to the start of the season and putting this speculation behind me.

Thoughts on the statement?I’m happy with the statement, because he was honest about everything rather than trying to sugarcoat things.

Cesc, ” I’m a Barca fan AND Arsenal Captain”

Cesc Fabregas has finally opened up about the speculation on his future. Talking to DIR Emotions magazine Cesc said,
“Those players are my friends and have been for many years. They play stellar football and everything they have won they deserve 100%. [Carles] Puyol gives me confidence and has taken care of me like an older brother. Bojan inspires calm. [Sergio] Busquets is simple and authentic. Xavi is a maestro. [Andres] Iniesta has so much patience, especially given what has happened to him in terms of injuries. [Lionel] Messi is calm, shy, and very kind. [Victor] Valdes has a lot of personality.

“However, I am Arsenal’s captain. I am a Gunner and that is where I have made myself as a player and matured as a person. He [Arsene Wenger] is a second father to me, the most important person in my life after my father. He has been very supportive of me and has treated my like a son. I am part of his family.

“He does not want me to leave. My last conversation with him in London was one of the most difficult moments I have had to live. I am left very touched.

“I want to continue fighting for every title, especially the Champions League, because I am a winner.”

What do you think? Lots of players play for different clubs other than the ones they support for example, John Terry and West Ham, Fernando Torres and Atletico Madrid, David Villa and Villarreal, David Beckham and Manchester United and Wayne Rooney And Everton.
In fact the ones i have listed have actually at some point played for those clubs, so it doesn’t necessary mean that he would definitely go back.
The problem i think is that he has too many footballer friends and not enough “normal” friends

CESC On Hoilday: Pictures

Cesc Fabregas has been spotted on holiday in Forementra. He joined best Buddie (and occasional stalker!) Pique and a group of friends. However one person who was Not there was the Lovely Carla. Rumours have been spreading that the pair have spilt up. According to spanish gossip columns, although she was there cheering him on at the world cup, the pair seemed to be distant on his return.

Cesc is expected to fly out to Austria this week with fellow teammate Robin van Persie.

Barcalona Preident gives up on Fabregas move

Barcelona President has admitted defeat into signing Arsenal Captain Cesc Fabregas despite the controversial stunt by two Barcelona players last week.
Many Arsenal fans were in up roar when two Barcelona players drunkenly rammed a Barcelona shirt over Fabregas’s head, leading to believe that their captains time was nearing to an end. but a shocking announcement was made on Catalan TV3, when Barcelona president, Sandro Rosell said “Arsenal feels very hurt by Barca,”
“They don’t want to listen to offers or sell and they are not putting the player (Fabregas) on the market.There was a strong dispute a few months ago and they have not forgotten it.”

This maybe due to how much the player is worth. Arsenal have valued him 60 – 80 million pounds, where else Barcelona have only offered 30 million and won’t go higher than 40.
“One thing that is certain is that we will not go mad trying to sign him”.said Rosell
“No shareholder would pay 60 or 70million euros for him. We will not go all out for him. We would only pay his value in the transfer market.”

However they are likely to try again next season. but if They continue to use dirty tricks, then Arsenal might make an official complaint to FIFA

Yes!!! its fab in barca shirt! but dont worry! its a prank by puyol and pique!! in celebration of spain championship in WC2010 when reina was a showman and was introducing players, when it was cwsc time to be introduced, pique and puyol jumped into the scene and weared cesc a barca shirt! cesc became red not for anger, for shy! and tried to resist but he couldnt! he had a smile on his face and did not change his shirt…what can it be?!!! only a prank?!!! or some other meaning it can imply?!! its a dream for barca fans and a nightmare for arsenal fans…such a paradox!!! what do you think? will he join his beloved club in his hometown or he is going to stay a gunner?!!! share with us your opinions…
