Cesc Fabregas : “If I leave, It Will Only For Barcelona”

fabregasCesc Fabregas made a statement that he will decide his future with Arsenal before the World Cup 2010. Although he still bounds in a contract with Arsenal until 2014, he clearly said that it is his long time dream to join Barcelona.

“If I leave, it will only for Barcelona. I just wish to leave, whether they (barca) want me or not,” quote Fabregas to The Sun.”I never keep the fact that I want to join Barcelona,”he added.

It seems that he desperately wants to leave as soon as possible since he felt disappointed about Arsenal’s achievement this season. Failed to win any title made him feels like wasting his time. ” I’m still 23 yrs old, still young. My career still has a long way to go.”

Right now Fabregas still on a recovery due to his injury, and he wants to focus for the World Cup. He has high hope for appearing with the Spanish team in South Africa, therefore he didn’t want to be distract with the transfer rumor.

“I will decide my future before the World Cup, because there’s impossible for a player to perform well when he’s not focus. I don’t want to be distract by the (transfer) rumor in the World Cup,” said the Arsenal captain.

Very well then. Let’s hope he’s making the right choice.

    my personal view is, that if he leaves he’ll be a prize prat and won’t be doing it for himeself.
    does he really think that they would let him play regualry? Xavi already has to share his role with someone else and i ‘ll doubt they would get rid of him.
    yes, i know he’s a barca fan, but there are plenty of players that don’t play or haven’t played for the club that they support in a long while. (Torres springs to mind) he mixing up his feelings of a player and a supporter.
    don’t forget it is arsenal that ot him on to the spanish team reguarly and all that will go and leave him a bench warmer.
    Also don’t forget that barca’s manger has expressed no intrest in signing him but has with walcott and clichy. Look what happend with sheva and chelsea. the owner forced a player onto the manger and that created a big divied that resulted in the manger leaving.

    in short, if cesc does go to barcalona, then i think he won’t play football reguarly and that barcalona manger will walk.
