Fabregas Speaks Out

Speaking to the Sun newspaper, he said, “MY LEG is broken – and I feel broken inside too.
The penalty I scored against Barcelona could be my last act as an Arsenal player this season.”
“That might be asking a lot but it is my dream and what I pray for. We have come so far together this season I don’t want it to end like this.”
He also talked about what actually happened out there on the pitch,
“When Carles Puyol fouled me to concede the penalty all I could think about was to grab the ball put it on the penalty spot and hit it as hard as I could. I could barely walk. I knew it was serious but I had to stay on for the sake of the team as we had used all our substitutes.”

However he ended any speculation that he might leave the club,
“I’ve never disguised how special the club is to me and I desperately wanted to be there and give a performance fit for such a wonderful stadium.”
