Jay Z is an Arsenal fan. Guess who his favourite player is….


I had to do a double take when I first read this.Various news sources are reporting this so I’m taking it as legit. The problem is that I don’t know which is the original source so I wouldn’t take all the quotes for granted.You all probably know who Jay Z is- recently he revealed he was an Arsenal fan. Arsenal FC reportedly gave him and his wife, Beyonce, free VIP hospitality tickets whenever they want to go to see a game at the Emirates.

Jay Z went to see the previous Arsenal v Manchester City match and there were rumours going around that he was a Man City fan, but he said he was there to see Arsenal play and that his favourite player was Cesc.
“I’m glad Arsenal now know it’s them I support.It would be good to chat with Cesc and some of the other guys over lunch.”

According to the Sun (take this with a pinch of salt as I have no idea what the original source is and some of the other news reports don’t include the following sentence), if Arsenal won the Premiership, Jay Z said he would like to take them out in New York:“I want them to party in New York, my city. I will look after them and make sure that they have some amazing nights out.”

“The next time I’m playing in England I would like the Arsenal players to come and watch my gig and then come backstage afterwards.I know how hard professional sportsmen work so I want to offer an incentive for the guys.”
