Cesc won the October PFA fans award. Well done to him!

Arsene spoke about Cesc’s goal against Tottenham :

“When you see the run of Fabregas on Saturday, he would not be capable of doing that two years ago.

What people forget is that these players are very young and that it is normal and natural that they develop into stronger players.That is why I feel there is a lot more to come from them.” I found the video in which Wenger says this. Here it is. He talks about cesc around 1:05.

Robin also spoke about Cesc’s goal:

“He showed great technique to take it past the players he did.Their player gave us the ball, but it was down to Cesc’s brilliance to be able to score a goal from the position he picked up the ball.”

Cesc also spoke about his goal. I’m not subscribed to arsenal tv online so I can’t get hold of everything he said. This is a little snippet of what he said:

“I don’t normally do that, but I felt good in that moment.Maybe it was the adrenaline of the first goal. I don’t know, I just kept going…one, two and then I just kept going and I was lucky to score.”

Cesc talks about killing games off:

“We must learn from these games. We have to do better. Of course we wish we could score four or five goals in every single game, but we must realise that sometimes that is not the way football is and sometimes to win the games, you just have to not make mistakes and work hard to keep the ball better. But it is always hard to go away in the Champions League and get a result, so we cannot be too disappointed with the draw against AZ.

Another positive is that we are scoring goals, and that is the hardest thing to do in football, which says a lot about us. But on the days when we can’t score more, we need to kill the game off in other ways, by passing the ball more and keeping possession.
