Cesc – Fourth place is not our target
5 August 2009
Cesc spoke to supporters during a Q&A session and stated that his intentions were not to finish fourth this season.
“I don’t think it is ever our expectation to finish fourth. We want to win and we will never start a season thinking we will only fight for fourth place – I don’t think we would be here if we felt like this.
“I have said many times that Arsenal is a big club. We haven’t won a trophy for four years, so what? Every big club goes through dry patches and difficult moments, you could say now is one of them at Arsenal.
“But we have to be stronger than ever, we have to all be positive about it. If we start thinking like fourth is the target we will go nowhere.
“We must be positive, we have quality here and the boss believes in all of us. This year is going to be the one, I am sure of it.†Full article here
