Cesc returns with a goal
CESC FABREGAS made an immediate impact on his return to action, firing the winning goal against Hanover to maintain Arsenal’s unbeaten start to their pre-season campaign.
Fabregas was handed an extended break after playing for Spain at the Confederations Cup in South Africa last month.
The Arsenal skipper missed four months of last season with a knee injury but scored the only goal in the ninth minute before being replaced at half-time.
Robin van Persie played an excellent pass into the path of the midfielder, who raced into the box before rounding Hannover keeper Robert Enke and sliding the ball home.
I have added 5 new photos of Cesc during the match against Hannover in the latest photos section.
Congratulations to Cesc and to the Arsenal team! It looks like we are doing just fine without certain ex-players!
UPDATE I have added a couple of photos of Cesc from the Emirates Cup match against Atletico Madrid in the latest photos section. Arsenal won 2-1. Cesc came on as a sub and Arshavin scored both goals!!!
