Confederates Cup – Spain 2 South Africa 0

Despite already qualifying for the semi-finals of the Confederates Cup, Spain still an obligatory group match against the hosts South Africa.
Although the score line suggests, play was fairly one-sided, it can be said that South Africa played as good as they got during the first half of the match. Spain displayed their usual passing ability with high levels of possession while South Africa were looking to score ont he counter-attack with their speed.
The first-half was fairly evenly spread with both sides trying in their own way to find the back of the net. However, Spain proved once again a little much for the South Africas in the second half. The first goal came from David Villa, just one minute after Itumeleng Khune saved a penalty. Villa scored from a pin-point volley, that had no destination but the back of the goal. A second was added by substitute Fernando Llorente from close range, with Cesc assisting. 
Good news for Cesc too as he not only started the match but finished it too! Full match report here.
This win means that Spain now equal Brazil’s world record of 35 matches unbeaten and set a new world record of 15 consecutive international wins.
Congratulations Spain as always

and yesterday the match was good between Italy and Brazil but i was very disappointed in Italy they played badly…

hey guys!! oh i watchd whole of Spain vs South Africa..it was not very exciting but obviously whereevr cescy is i get all hyper..lol!:D cescy got tired at one point but the game was abt to end:Dall the spanish players did well….ooooo Brazil beat Italy…yayyyyyyyyy!i was looking forward to the final of Spain vs Brazil:D:D

I honestly think spain will meet Egypt in semi after Italy lost to them.
Anyway i hardly watching that group playing since most games started at 2.30am.i rather stay to watch Spain n Cesc.

Yeah. They did not play as well as they usually do. But they were guaranteed to go through and so I guess there is less of an incentive for them to play their hardest.
I wouldn;t say that Man United are the fourth best out of the top four. They are the best. The way they play has been good to watch this season.
And I think that our midfield was also a big difference between us and Manchester United. But yeah. The defence was the biggest difference.
China ^^ I’m so jealous. I really want to go to China and Japan one day. The history behind China really looks fascinating.

i watched the game too and it was good , i dont know but the spanish players looked tired and the defence wasnt at his best , they made a few mistakes , but good game .
cesc played ok , but he really should change his haircut , it is terrible
the horns annoy me too plu , unbareable .
cesc earned the penalty , i was so happy for him and he could have scored the second goal
as for the games tonight , brazil against italy ???? i dont know , i am not so sure about italy right now , as for egypt against usa , i dont know , not so sure about too ,
i watched a recent interview WITH arsene wenger , he talked about the whole season , he said that manchester won the league because he earned lots of points at home unlike the other teams , he also said that liverpool was the best among the big four and then arsenal , chelsea and finally man utd
he also said that the difference betwwen arsenal and man utd was the deffence as they both scored the same no of goal but arsenal recieved more goals , and working on the deffence is gonna be his top list in the summer
he was asked ” how sure r u that cesc is gonna stay ?”
he said ” 100 % sure , and so all the players , no one is leaving ”
but i dont know if this includes toure as i heard he is talking with man city
and finally , he is gonna spend his summer vacation in china !!! weird

I missed 30 minutes of first-half(
) but I saw the second-half completely. Cesc was very good 
why did David missed the penalty that Cesc gained it? I became upset when he missed it but he compensated very soon & It`s good for him .
Plu.Yes, That double save from the goalkeeper was brilliant but I didn`t want these brilliant reactions from competitor team! I`m sure that we could win 3-0 (if Villa didn`t miss that penalty)or even 4-0 anyway we won!
There is only a few hours to Italy & Brazil match. I think It will be an interesting game & I`m sure that Cesc & other spaniards will see the match!

Congratulations to Spain!!! I hope they can go on to 36 unbeaten and set a new world record. This is the first time I’ve watched a confederation’s game, and the first thing I noticed was the horns. The horns never stopped throughout the match! That must be so tiring for the people with the horns.
Well done to Spain! Credit to South Africa though. They did play well. Although they really did fluff their chances in front of goal.
That double save from the goalkeeper was brilliant. And then Villa goe sand scores a minutes ate. ^^ And trips over/kicks the corner flag in his celebrations. That must have hurt a little.And a cesc assist for the second goal ^^
I only found out today that Fernando Llorente’s last name was Torres.
Anything can happen between the other group tomorrow. Who do you guys think will get through?
