Cesc Fabregas: Nike Ignite: First Touch

12 February 2009

Nike have a new campaign out called Nike Ignite. It features Cesc Fabregas talking about the importance of his first touch to his game. He also provides commentary for the great goal he scored against Manchester United last season (make sure you press HQ). There are a few screen caps from the campaign in the photos section as well as the two Cesc Fabregas wallpapers below.

Also there’s a new Nike TV Spot on youtube thanks to olymiller. It aired at half-time during the Australia v Japan WCQ yesterday. It stars Arsenal boys, Cesc Fabregas, Denilson, and Nick Bendtner and a few guys from some other team! Thanks to Plu for the heads up!

  3. Plu says:

Can you beat my first touch challenge?
    <3

Cesc makes a good commentator and analyst

loool. George, I agree with you 100% Although florists overcharge all year around. £3 for a rose is a ridiclous amount of money. I could go and pick one in my back garden for free.

  4. bri says:

I read that bischoff might be in the squad for Monday’s match… wouldn’t start I suppose but we might see him used as a sub.

  5. sam says:

George you romantic you… man it’s comments like that that drive the ladies wild lol

Felt sorry for Watford not a bad effort from le sulk.

  6. fonz says:

“We need outstanding performances until the end of the season and the only way to achieve that is by focusing on our performances. If Chelsea gain points Aston Villa will drop, it is all linked together. But if we are consistent we will be there.”

This quote from Wenger is the bottom line. It doesn’t matter what Villa and Chelsea do if we keep dropping points. First off we have to rattle off a few wins and then we’ll see how things look.

  7. george says:

for a minute there I thought Chelsea were going to lose to Watford,,, now that would have been the ultimate valentines gift lol

I don’t believe in valentines day,,, it’s just a chance for florists to over-charge for roses

  8. ~meri says:

happy st valentine to you tooo! loooove these vids :o )

  9. Rose says:

Happy Valentines day everyone before I forget lol

  10. TA says:

I wouldn’t mind seeing Jack the lad given a run out but I think what you said is most likely the midfield we’ll have… although we could play Denilson on the wing and Nasri in the middle.

  11. nzgooner says:

I miss having Arsenal to watch this weekend I guess I’ll just make do with watching an FA Cup match or two to tide me over until Monday.

  12. Israel Castillo says:

Thanks Rose! I’ll try write in this page. I want practice english, and this is a good way^^.Cesc is the best! Bye friends =)

  13. sam says:

Wales online are saying Ramsey won’t play Rosie. They say they don’t think Wenger will risk him…

NY-Gunner, I haven’t seen any more news on the skippers return date

  14. Rose says:

Hello Israel :D Your english is perfect! Thank you for your comment

Hola Israel :D ¡Su inglés es perfecto! Gracias por su comentario

Hey Georgie, I looked to see if there was any more news on Aaron but couldn’t find any. I heard he finished the game on Wednesday so hopefully that is a good sign.

I’m glad you like the blobbies Bri lol

  15. Somi says:

    awwww!!!!cescyyyyy hes adorableeee!!:D lovely vdeo:D cnt stop smilin..lol

  16. george says:

Well Wenger is right,,, we will need outstanding performances,,, time to step up fellas.

I hope Aaron is able to play on Monday,,, he had a disappointing game in Cardiff and it would be good for him to get back on the horse,,, if ya know what I mean,,, If he can’t play I guess Vela will start? Nasri on the other wing and Song/Denilson in the middle.

  17. crazygal_miLa says:

    aww.. he’s so cute!! :D

cant wait to see him back on the football pitch soon!! :P

  18. bri says:

I meant to say I like the little ‘blobbies’ better than the monsters. my one had it’s tongue hanging out lol it wasn’t a good look :D

  19. Israel Castillo says:

  24. matt says:

Agree you can never predict these things Rose but can anyone think of a gig Hiddink has had in the last decade that didn’t go well. Personally, I think him taking over is nothing but bad news for us. On that note I think I’ll go and have a beer!

  25. mini says:

    Great Vid!!!

but his face in the first wallpaper is hahahaha =)

  26. snap says:

thanks so much! Cesc has best first touch! Hes amazin!

  27. Rose says:

Hi Jilli :D That was my fave part too

TA, Arsene is right it’s impossible to know – after all in all honesty I thought Scolari would go really well there, much better than he did – so sometimes you can’t predict these things

  28. junie says:

    thanks for the cappies! XD

  29. TA says:

    saw this on arse.com…

Wenger would not be drawn as to whether this latest move [change of manager at Chelsea] would be a good or bad thing for his side’s chances of qualifying for the Champions League

“I don’t really know,” said the Frenchman. “I believe [we should] focus on our way to be successful and not too much on the others.

“We need outstanding performances until the end of the season and the only way to achieve that is by focusing on our performances. If Chelsea gain points Aston Villa will drop, it is all linked together. But if we are consistent we will be there.”

    well here’s hoping

  30. jilli says:

luv the part where he says the fans would not be happy… look on his face is so super cute gah!

  31. bri says:

It seems Aaron Ramsey is a doubt for Monday’s FA Cup replay here’s the provisional squad

Provisional Arsenal squad: Fabianski, Sagna, Gallas, Djourou, Clichy, Nasri, Denilson, Song, Wilshere, Vela, Bendtner, Almunia, Van Persie, Toure, Eduardo, Gibbs, Randall, Ramsey.

  32. fonz says:

great ads! it’s really interesting hearing him breakdown the man u goal too

  33. jas says:

Awwww! He’s so cute “I love killer passes” so do we Cescy so do we <3 especially when it’s you making’em! XD

  34. sam says:

Hey Rosie :D The grey and white icons are mosdef an improvement on the monsters… wish there was a way for us to have our own default rather than being stuck with wordpress’s default. As none of them are much chop.

  35. kim li says:

    Nike do cool ads

  36. siew lan says:

i didn’t like the monsters XD

    thanks for vids!

  37. bri says:

they should get players to do commentary on all their goals like actors do commentary on their films… really I would so watch that. To get their perspective… it’s much better than those ponces blathering away on Sky :D

  38. Rose says:

I’ve changed the way comments are displayed to get rid of the monsters. I know the default icon is boring but the monsters often had sad faces or sharp teeth and were generally horrible lol and I think boring is better than horrible, if someone really wants the monsters back you can tell me but it took me ages to figure out how to get rid of them – so you will need a great reason for wanting them back – as I really didn’t like them!

  39. george says:

    Thanks plu

Found an article on Nasri in which he talk about being a babe magnet. loool
    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1143042/I-stay-indoors-day-just-avoid-female-fans-reveals-Arsenal-babe-magnet-Nasri.html
He also says that the Arsenal boys put the other players clothes in the bin if they look bad. ^^
