Cesc pre Liverpool interview
Thanks to Crystal and to Tess from Live Journal we have an interview with Cesc Fabregas that aired on Sky Sports prior to Sunday’s Liverpool match.
As previously posted, Arsenal are expected to make an announcement regarding Cesc’s injury this afternoon. Sport.es have reported that they spoke with Cesc’s father and that he said Cesc was taking the situation well, although it is the most serious injury of his professional career, he has shown mental strength and is staying positive!
Xabi wishes Cesc well
Xabi Alonso has told media, “I’m hoping for a rapid recovery for Cesc. Now comes the most tedious bit, the recuperation, but I will be there encouraging him.”
He added: “If anything, I’m even more upset than Fabregas is. It always affects me to see a companion injured, but especially if it is a friend and a national team-mate like Cesc.
“I already went to see him after the game, and from what he told me we both expected it was something serious. But on Monday I spoke with him again and, bearing in mind the situation, he was in quite good spirits.”
On the challenge between himself and Cesc that caused the injury, Xabi added: “It was just another incident of the game and, of course, there was no malicious intent.”

I was feeling resentful towards xabi after the match. Calmed down a lot now. And it must have been really upsetting for him. I would be I injured one of my close mates. Having said that, I don’t think anyone can be upset as cesc. He said himself he really hets upset when he gets injured. Nice of Xabi to say he will be there for cesc throughout. XD
I’m glad about all the team meeting up. That’s a great sign of a united squad. XD

Nice words from Xabi but I seriously doubt he is more upset than Cesc. Let’s keep it real.
Gang if you need to go off-line go! It’s Christmas you can’t be glued to the internet. Don’t worry when the club makes it’s announcement it will be everywhere

Now the rumour mongers are saying that Cesc’s injury has forced Arsene to go in at 20 mill for Arshavin. Oh look a large cow! And a pig flying backwards. The sports hacks are in top form.
Hope we get some positive news on Cesc.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you too Francesca!
I saw that too George. Still hopefully we will hear today and sooner rather than later. We have to go off-line soon and of course I expect the announcement will come the minute we all do… but we all have things to do with Christmas so close, so if we’re slow to update the site after the club makes a statement – it may just be that we are not around, sorry. We’ll do our best.

I am pleased TA! The off the pitch stuff is important I hope they will do more of it and become really close as a team.
Hey I saw on timesonline and skysports sites that Cesc is having another scan today this afternoon,,, so maybe the club will take a bit longer to say something if they are still doing tests?
