Arsenal visit Whittington Hospital

Cesc Fabregas hospital visit (Source) Cesc Fabregas, Bacary Sagna and Manuel Almunia were among eight first team players who visited sick children at Whittington Hospital on Tuesday. NY-Gunner that would be a massive upset :D Poor Lyon they seem to always get to the round of 16 and get the worst possible draw. Still rather them than us lol

  • Yeah Sambo,,, bit of a non-story I guess, it’s not like Catalonia’s team is a Fifa sanctioned national team anyway.

  • Last time we played Roma back in 2003 we did very well against them. I’m happy with getting them.

Wouldn’t it be great if Lyon knocked out Barca! That would be a big upset right there.

  • I’m happy with Roma I am sure we can beat them as the team is improving and they will be in form by February!! Go Gunners!!

I am looking forward to the Liverpool v Real Madrid match up as well Plu. It will be close as even though they haven’t been playing so well Real Madrid have some good players so it could go either way.

  • I don’t think it matters who we got. We are capable of beating anyone and of losing to anyone including Roma. Will all depend on which Arsenal turns up.

  • Some of those draws are really exciting. Especially Real Madrid v Liverpool. Now that is going to be interesting to watch.

We got Roma.Should hopefully be able to beat them, as long as we keep totti at bay. We normally fare better against Italian teams so fingers crossed.

  • I’m happy with AS Roma given the choices the only better draw would have been pana.

I voted for Cesc too . I see what you mean about the voting thanks for letting me know I didn’t need to do part 3 as they just about want a DNA sample.

  • Yeah George I’m not even sure why the Daily Mail would bother to run that. It’s not a real slow news day.

Hey TA… me too man. I was so damn happy when Lyon drew Barca. Roma are not too bad a side but I think we could beat them, we just have to find a way to contain Totti. If we can get a couple of goals in the home leg as Roma have a poor away record and then score on the away leg… we should go through no problem.

It will be interesting to see Mourinho up against Fergie. I’d be pretty happy if Mourinho knocked the mancs out.

  • I’m happy with the draw all things considered Roma aren’t too bad and a better option than the likes of Barca, Bayern and Juve.

I just saw that the Catalan national team want Cesc to play Dec 28th in the Daily mail but I’m sure Cesc will play for Arsenal as it’s just a friendly

  • I think we fared the best out of the english sides. Manchester United got Inter Milan, Liverpool got Real Madrid and Chelsea got Juventus. They’re all pretty tough opponents.

A few re-inforcements in the January window and then quarter finals here we come!! Get in!!

That’s really nice that the boys visited the children hospital! I think that sort of thing is really important

  • Agreed Emma :D but once you get to the quarters in the Champions League all the teams are good teams. The main thing is to get there, you can only take each round as it comes and I think the main thing was to avoid Barca at this stage. At least that was my personal preference as they are the best team in Europe at the moment. AS Roma won’t be a walk-over by any means but I feel more optimistic about playing them lol

  • I was watching it live and when I saw Juventus come out and then Pana and then Bayern Munich I really started to think we were getting Barca so when Barca came out with Lyon I was bloody delighted! Roma isn’t too bad certainly I think Barca and even Bayern would have been tougher.

  • tq Rose.

I noted that if Arsenal is going to sail through this round…next one will be tough n getting tougher still since we will be meeting Man U or Inter in 1/4 final n most probably Barca in semi…..

From the look of it..Chelsea will be having better time.
