Welcome Back Eduardo!

Eduardo da Silva

Eduardo returned to action today playing the first half of Arsenal Reserves 2 – 0 victory over Portsmouth Reserves! Eduardo said after the game, “At the moment, I am better and I feel very happy, I came off at half-time because I felt something in my hamstring, but I think I will be all right in two weeks. The situation with my injury was very hard for me, but I have to forget everything bad in my life.” It is 297 days since Eduardo was told by doctors that he might never play again. The sight of him back in the red and white is a special moment!

Eduardo received a standing ovation as he ran out to warm up and The Times said he showed good touch and technique. Welcome back dudu!

Cesc Fabregas wants you to catch the bus!

Cesc Fabregas, Iker Casillas and other Spanish national team footballers feature in a series of TV spots for Ahorra Energia, that will air in Spain and encourage everyone to save power and use public transport. The campaign will also be supported by a website klick-off.com. It doesn’t seem to be live yet but Cesc, David Villa and Xavi are shown on the front screen. If you take a peek, try and guess what movie it reminds us of – clue: “phone home David Villa.” Nice to see La Seleccion doing their bit for the environment! Apologies for the quality, I’ll try and fix it up later.

  • So great to see Dudu back! Can’t wait to see him back in the first team I think I’ll cry when he plays in the Premier League again and I’ll probably flood my house when he scores a goal. I should probably stock up on tissues ;D

  • Thanks for the translations MJ. :)

yes. Dudu is back XD. I was reading somewhere that he hopes to be back properly for the start of the fa cup…i swear that starts in two weeks. he needs to take it easy.
From everywhere I have looked, everyone has commented that they could see glimpses of dudu’s ususual way of playing, which is fantastic. I know it will take a while for dudu to get back to his usual self, but I know he can make a little bit of difference this season. Completely agree with rvp.

  • It’s great to have him back! Eduardo came really close to scoring,,, that would have been nice but one game at a time. I don’t think anyone should expect to much this season,,, he’s gonna need time but the big thing is that he still really wants to play.

  • This was on Arsenal World -

Yesterday was a great day for all Arsenal fans. We saw Eduardo play his first game in 10 months. He was instrumental in our first team play and was definitely a good first game back. His early play saw him have a shout for a penalty, albeit not given, but he wasn’t scared of the tackle, which was good to see.

He had a header just over before a great chance, curling round the defence, saved by a combination of the keeper and the post kept the score at 0-0. All in all, a good 45 minutes for the Crozilian. Eduardo was taken off at half time as he felt a twinge in his hamstring. We went on to win 2-0 with goals from Randall and Gibbs – a sweet strike from the left back making it 2-0.

    Eduardo said after the game:

“I am feeling very happy to have started my first game in 10 months. I hope I can do more and that next time will be better. I just felt something in my hamstring but in two weeks I will be alright.”

Bit annoying with the hamstring stuff, but we should still be able to see him in about 2 – 3 weeks on the bench in a Premier League game.

I hope he can get back to his best he had some terriffic games for us before that awful business at St Andrews

always look for electrical goods with the maximum energy label

Cesc says Siempre que sea posible, utiliza el transporte publico

    Whenever possible use public transport

And in the final one Villa says setting your heating system to 21 degrees is sufficient.
