Arsenal 2 – 1 Manchester United

Arsenal showed what they are made of! They showed their skill, spirit and fight. They did us proud and earned a deserved and fantastic victory. It was the greatest game of the season so far. The men in red and white were dynamite and were a credit to the shirt and to the badge.
Cesc had a fantastic game. It was a complete performance both offensively and defensively. With Cesc setting up a goal at one end and closing down players at the other.
After the Match William Gallas and Cesc spoke to Skysport and said:-
Gallas said “It was very important to win against Manchester United because we want to stay in the race.
“The last few games we draw… we lost… so it is important to win at home.”
Fabregas added: “It has been a frustrating past few results so it was vital to win and get back on track and show our character.
“Its great to see and hear the fans enjoying themselves and sing.
“We are the same… just because we beat Man U we are not better than we were last week. Football changes so quickly. We just need to be focussed now for the next game.
“In your head you realise you can’t do the same mistake against Tottenham and I think we have learned.”

I can relate believe me I don’t think I have ever been so nervous during a game before 
I debated whether I should watch and finally did but was watching with my heart in my mouth. Am so so glad we won, so glad that I didn’t question my loyalty to Arsenal, and so glad that my prayers were answered!

There was a tremendous team spirit and unity on display. I don’t think we have seen that this season. I read a reference to the fact the team met up the night before the match and talked. It may be the real hero(s) of the game were those behind that meeting.
A great match and as others have said a great result as we won a lot more than 3 points!

I’m definitely still basking lol It’s just been a tough start to the season with the draws and losses, with the team and Arsene getting so much criticism and 99% of it unjustified so to finally have good news and people praising the team and acknowledging they are a good side with plenty of fighting spirit – yes I’m very happy now

I was so happy I almost cried lol Cesc was immense! Arsene Wenger looked so proud of the team. It was the comeback we had been waiting for, it was late hee but when it came, it arrived in style 
It’s the end of the world as we know it… I was watching motd and Alan Hansen was almost complimentary to Arsenal… ok through gritted teeth… but still…. I think that’s officially the 8th wonder of the world
and don’t forget Gallas he was very solid. Diaby played well too.
I’m just so happy because now I will never have to read the things that the press and the more fickle fans would have written if we hadn’t won. And quite frankly I was beginning to feel like a visit to “google news” was about as much fun as a trip to the dentist so I’m really pleased that this will silence most if not all of that!!
Now we just need to take this confidence boost into the game against Aston Villa

It doesn’t get any better than this! I think sweating over the final stages and almost having a nervous breakdown when I realised there was 6 minutes extra time… just made the sound of the full-time whistle all the sweeter LOL

Cesc was brilliant! He was soo amazing today, he worked so hard on defending and still created most of our chances. He just did it all!!!

I was not believing. I did not think we had much chance to win. I hoped but only small hope and now they have WON!!!! I am so proud because not only win but great win, great team, great match, great football. Mr Wenger forgive my doubt.

Such a great result. So important to the team in so many ways!! I’m so proud of our boys for standing up for themselves and each other and proving the nay-sayers and critics wrong. Now we can all think happy thoughts lol It’s a day for celebration

I was very happy with the team and for Wenger who got his tactics spot on today.

nasri was awesome but it was a great team performance. We defended incredibly well. A clean sheet against some of the greatest fire power in the epl. Clichy was a monster, Cesc was brilliant, Gallas played very well. Nasri got the two goals and will get the headlines but it was a team full of stars today. Theo got back and defended in a way I don’t think I’ve ever seen him do. Denilson worked hard out there, Diaby had a mostly excellent performance. Almunia made some good saves (hope he’s ok) Bacary scrapped it out. It was a fantastic fight from everyone.
