Hi plu I thought it was a company too at first but it’s a member of his extended family who runs his website. The journalist Guillem Balague who is on Sky’s Revista de la Liga wrote about it on his website. I emailed the site yesterday about this quote just to confirm the wording in english because the original message was in spanish of course and they replied to me. It’s definitely not a company, he hasn’t hired someone, it is a relative.

I must say, I think it is very sweet that it is someone who is related to him and not some web design company who don’t know him or care about Arsenal.

The media really need to butt out of people’s lives, and stop making up stupid rumours.
How do you know that it was his family who posted that? I didn’t know his family ran his site. I thought he hired someone to do it.

Hey DC, he didn’t ‘issue’ this as such. It’s just a couple of lines on the official site that a member of his family runs for him. It’s a little different to what came out through the club. In the last week there have been quite a few stories suggesting he will leave Arsenal sooner rather than later. There’s been some speculation that hes not “happy”. So I think this message is in response to that.

I think it makes sense that he would want to set the record straight. I don’t think anyone likes being misrepresented.

He already said the same thing just over a week ago when he issued a statement through the club yes? So I wonder why he issued this? It does make me think the press he is getting is troubling him? Don’t you think?

Rosie I don’t like to think about him having to deal with this stuff either. Still I guess all players have to get used to it unfortunately. It is really sweet of him to reassure his fans. He’s a top class guy!

Well now the media has Gallas and the smokes and Ade has been doing press again, hopefully Cesc will get a few days rest from being the target of their stories. I think things will blow over till the next slow news week and then he’ll be going to Juventus, AC Milan, Real Madrid and Barca ,,, though not necessarily in that order

The thing that worries me is that it might worry him… he has enough to worry about with playing and carrying an injury and I don’t like to think he even has to think about this stuff. I hope he doesn’t read the papers, or hear too much of what gets said… because I can’t begin to imagine how frustrating it must be to have people telling lies about you and claiming you said things or meant things you didn’t say or mean. I’d buy an AK47 and go postal lol it would drive me nuts!!

It’s great the way Cesc always tries to get the truth out to the fans. I just wish the media would stop with all this rubbish they keep writing about him and I just hope that by now gooners have the sense to know they can’t trust the media.
