I agree with you Kate that it is a bit soon for Cesc to be captain but I also agree with MJ that the team does need a real leader. I can see why a lot of people do call for Cesc to captain Arsenal but I think the job brings extra pressures and I can understand why Arsene has chosen to go with Gallas for now.

Rose I was trying to be diplomatic and if I rave on then people who think differently might not feel like they can say, ya know! Mentioning the possible return of the hair band is just cruel! *shudders*

I like it like this really – so long as he doesn’t stick that hairband back on when he plays cos we mostly get match photos of Cesc so he needs to play sans le fugly alice band. Oh and so long as he doesn’t tip 20 tonnes of hair gel on it like he did at that Real Football launch where he looked like he’d gone all ‘Cristiano’. Anyway I like it better now

Kate you are probably right but I think Cesc is already trying to do both. I see him feeling the responsibility now even though he doesn’t have the armband because Arsenal doesn’t have a real captain presence on the field, Gallas just isn’t it. Sorry William *hugs* I don’t want to be mean but hes not a captains elbow, now is he.

hi guys its me again kate who posted the cute story about cesc and the fan at the realfootball launch last week . i am so glad that you liked it .
dear rose i tried really hard to remember the website where i read the article but i couldnt . forgiveme .
i know its a kind of late but about our game against sunderland we really should have won . we were too good to just get one point from that game . maybe arsene should work on the defence a little bit but the midfield was great . fabregas was amazing his passes were perfect . i dare say that our midfield took control of the most of the game .
our strikers were ok they just again needed to focus a little bit . we lacked nothing but luck in that game .
that goal by the way was fabregas’s first ever goal to score by head for arsenal . may be in other circomstances he would have celebrated it . wish him the best . hope they win next game .
if arsene gave cesc the armband now he would be so mistaken . cesc is still 21 and he is still developping his skills and giving him the armband now would stop this process . may be he is a leader by nature and very talented and without a doubt very mature but lets face it he is too young to do both of the things at the same time .
i wish they start winning matches .
