Cesc Fabregas Fans

Congratulations to Cesc on playing his 200th competitive match for Arsenal today! He had a great game to mark the occasion as did the whole team with Arsenal putting in a class performance to beat Newcastle 3-0. That should silence all the “chicken littles” who have been running around saying the sky was falling in, since the loss at Fulham last week. Here’s the match report. Photos after the jump

Newcastle Manager Kevin Keegan told the media after the match, “We came up against a side that were on their game and had a key player back in (Cesc) Fabregas, who is a wonderful player.” He also tipped Arsenal to be a contender in the title race again this year, but then that goes without saying. We are the best team in the premiership after all

Champions League Draw

Arsenal have drawn FC Porto, Dynamo Kiev and Fenerbahce in Group G of the champions League. Our first game of the group stage will be on Sep 17 when we are away to Dynamo Kiev. More details at Arsenal.com

New Spain coach Vicente Del Bosque has named Cesc in his 20 man squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Bosnia (Sep 6) and Armenia (Sep 10). Full squad list

Site Progress report

I noticed yesterday that the site actually has visitors, so I thought I’d put a little progress report here for the people who are visiting (we didn’t actually expect to have any visitors as yet because we haven’t put up any links to the site, er, so you must have been looking hard to find us lol)

First of all, welcome to our work in progress, sorry there isn’t much here as yet. We’ve actually built a lot of content that we haven’t put up, but we’ll go live with most of that in the next week. We got a little side-tracked by the Olympics (weren’t they great!) and so we have gotten a bit behind with the web project but we’re about 2 weeks away from finishing now. So check about mid-September and we should be live and kicking.
